There are three key elements to every perfect party: good food, good drink, and a good atmosphere. If you have all three, you’re set for the perfect party- you just need guests.
The same exact thing can be said for any business in the hospitality industry. These elements that define the perfect party make a guest feel welcome. Guest comfort is the ultimate goal in the hospitality industry. Our job is to make guests feel like they are a part of the “party”- more than welcome!
Good food and drink are relatively self-explanatory, but a good atmosphere is something that can be a little bit more challenging to accomplish. The atmosphere makes a hotel or restaurant inviting and welcoming or cold and distant. It’s important that when each guest comes into our business, they immediately feel a sense of belonging and like they are a part of that “perfect party.”
Creating an inviting atmosphere in your hotel is not only about designing your space strategically.
A welcoming environment goes far beyond how your space looks. Welcoming a guest to the “perfect party” or your establishment is all about what you can offer the guest to add more value. Think about what makes your business and turn those specialties into offers. For example, provide a quaint coffee bar or a popcorn stand for refreshments. Offer a glass of champagne to your guests upon their arrival and or other refreshments. Making small offerings and paying close attention to detail can work wonders in making your guests feel appreciated. That special touch goes a long way and helps your establishment stand out amongst the rest.
It’s no secret that the hospitality industry is competitive. Sometimes the edge isn’t about how luxurious and well-designed your space is, but your connection with and genuine offerings to your guests.
