Hospitality is more than an industry it is a passion. A passion to serve others, to connect with people, and learn about different cultures. It’s not always an easy field. It’s one that requires much patience and understanding, and a desire to empathize with people regardless of the situation.
The “business of people” is a way of living. It’s what makes our industry so special. It’s not just a job or career, it is so much more. The hospitality industry teaches us how to love and respect people for who they are, what they have gone through, where they are traveling to next and why.
Being in the hospitality industry prepares us for every type of situation and sets us up for success in every field of business. We understand how to work with people, manage teams, and practice leadership and patience. Most importantly, we know how to connect with people. We see the beauty inside every person, and we desire to make them feel special and at home.
Connection is my favorite part about the hospitality industry. It is a privilege to be able to interact with so many people from all different walks of life and backgrounds. I learn something new every day because I am interacting with different people every day.
No other career offers such a beautiful ability to meet so many different types of people and the opportunity to connect with and learn from them.
Hospitality is a calling, but it is so fruitful in the experiences and connections we make.
